5-Hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP) is an amino acid compound extracted from the seeds of the African plant Griffonia simplicifolia , also known as the African black bean. 5-HTP is naturally produced in the body from tryptophan, an essential amino acid obtained from food. 5-HTP is used to produce serotonin, a neurotransmitter often called the "happy hormone" that plays a key role in regulating sleep, mood, emotions, and appetite. Our dietary supplement contains Griffonia simplicifolia seed extract standardized to 30% 5-HTP. Each daily serving contains 333.33 mg of black bean seed extract (DER 30:1) and provides 100 mg of 5-hydroxytryptophan. The 5-HTP contained in our product can be a valuable part of your daily supplementation. We recommend taking one capsule daily with water, preferably before bedtime. The product is available in packs of 60, 120, or 200 capsules, allowing you to adjust the dosage to your individual needs. |
