NOW ® Ascorbyl palmitate is a highly stable form of ascorbic acid or vitamin C. Ascorbyl palmitate is soluble in both water and lipids. This dual solubility allows it to be absorbed by cell membranes, where free radicals are neutralized and healthy structures are supported. This active ingredient has all the antioxidant properties of vitamin C and can therefore more easily cross the blood-brain barrier to also exert its antioxidant activity in the brain and nervous system.
