Jarrow Formulas Inositol is easily absorbed and used to make the active inositol as needed. The different forms of inositol (phosphatidylinosite and inositides such as IP3) are active in communication between cells (e.g. transmission of nerve impulses). Affected tissues are brain, liver and muscles. Inositol (also known as myoinosite) is an indirect source of glucuronic acid, which is essential for detoxifying the liver. |
