| Description | This product contains a high dose of ubiquinol, the most biologically active form of Q10. In dietary supplements containing Q10, the oxidized form of this nutrient, called ubiquinone, is usually used. After oral ingestion, oxidized Q10 is largely converted to ubiquinol, the reduced form of Q10. This conversion process, which can be difficult for various reasons (e.g. in old age), is not necessary when using ubiquinol. Ubiquinol in ready-to-use form has been available for use in dietary supplements since 2006. Orally administered ubiquinol is better absorbed and has a higher bioavailability than ubiquinone. In many situations, supplementation with ubiquinol is therefore preferable to regular Q10 |
