Description	Cordyceps Sinensis is a fungus native to the high altitudes of the Himalayas and other mountains in Asia. The mushroom has been known to the Chinese for thousands of years and is very popular because of its diverse properties. The fungus itself cannot survive on its own. He needs a host. He finds this in the caterpillar of a certain moth. It attacks them and completely takes over the host. The whole thing lasts all winter and in summer the fruiting body develops from the shell of the caterpillar, which is covered with threads of the fungus, and this then grows out of the ground. However, it does not typically look like a mushroom, but rather has the shape of a thick blade of grass. In imperial times, a gram of Cordyceps cost much more than silver, so it was only used by nobles. However, in order to make it accessible to a broader audience, Chinese scientists started an attempt in the 1970s to clone the valuable fungus, so to speak: they collected various types of Cordyceps and examined their effects. The winner was a Cordyceps species from Qinghai, which the scientists gave it the name: Cordyceps CS-4.
