| Description | There are two forms of thiamine that are commonly used in vitamin B1 supplements - thiamine hydrochloride and thiamine mononitrate. They are both synthetic, however, unlike thiamine mononitrate, thiamine hydrochloride (HCl) is water-soluble. This makes it difficult to manufacture, but is much more effective as a supplement because it is easier for the body to absorb. That is why G&G VITAMINS only uses thiamine hydrochloride in its vitamin B1 preparations. |
